In Jesus Christ alone I see
A freedom that can´t be chained,
And as I to His grace did flee,
Upon my soul it rained.

But is His grace a static thing?
No, God it must renew,
My thirst it quenches from His spring,
My soul drinks in His dew.

The clouds that shadow and blur my sight
Are mercies that only aim
At Christ as Light, in darkness still bright,
That makes new zeal aflame.

The way, the truth, the life divine,
Can only in Christ be found,
Through yielded lives God´s Son will shine
To let His gospel sound.

Of Christ we gladly testify,
The Throne remains His seat,
From coast to coast each enemy´s eye
Will tremble at His feet!
