I wish to confront you with two big questions.  One about yourself, and one about Christ of whom most people just spell a religious name.

Three times at least this question is asked in the Bible, “What is man?” (Ps. 8:4, Job 7:17, Hebr. 2:6) – and we may decode it as directed to you:  Who (and not only what) are you?  Who do you think you are?

Modern science has told many lies about you, dear friend, about your origin, about your independent life doing fine without an eternal Creator, about life which is nothing but chance, time, chemistry and evolution.

However, I don´t think such answers really satisfy your heart and soul, so the challenge is very simple:  Whom are you siding with?  Yourself (and the devil´s lies) or with Christ who died for your sins and rose again, which means that “He always lives to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through Him!”  (Hebr. 7:25). This is an invitation to you!

This Savior is ready to forgive and accept you no matter who you are, for He has said, “Whoever comes to me I will never cast out!”  (Joh. 6:37)

Now, right now I´m being approached by lewd women on the internet – I suspect them to be just poor victims of a cynical sex industry coming from abroad (primarily from Russia).  I really don´t know. However, are they so depraved that there´s no saving mercy for them? Of course not.

My old Norwegian friend, Rolf Svindland, told me that once at one of his tent meetings he was interrupted by a noisy drunkard at the back row who shouted, “Pray for me, buddy!”  Rolf then said to himself, “Nobody is so depraved that we can´t pray for him” and they did, and by the way he was immediately sober and open to the gospel.

A German friend wrote me, “I´m not for lengthy theological theses”, nor am I, and I believe Jesus isn´t either.  His shortest sermon ever delivered, has these simple words, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand, repent and believe the gospel!”  (Mk. 1:15)

He was very, very simple.  Trust Him in your own simple way!
