Tune: God moves in a mysterious way...

Do you feel lonely, sad and down,
because you see no light?
With mercy still your head he´ll crown
and gospel sparks ignite!

Are you condemned? O, sin confessed
His blood has washed away,
and so be bold, be not depressed,
new grace provides this day!

In church you even may be sad,
when it no life conveys,
you still have reasons to be glad,
for still He with you stays!

Nay, even there you Christ may trust
in His own vestibule,
His grace obscurely will and must
your trials overrule!

To listen to your Shepherd´s voice,
that should our secret be
outweighing each disturbing noise
that injures you and me!

O, let us to our Savior look,
His whisper we will heed,
as we embrace His holy Book,
for on His word we´ll feed!
